This feature laden Nylon Guitar is the latest addition to our Kontakt product line. The script has been developed with performance in mind.

Features:

"Fingered":
When selected the script will detect legato played notes and trills. It will select sampled "Hammer ON" and "Pull OFF" notes. Trills can be performed by holding the lower key and "hammering" a higher key within your selected legato range. The result is a realistic hammer - pull trill effect.
The legato mode can be temporarily enabled or disabled depending on the "Fingered" setting by holding the A (33) below the guitar range.

"Open Strings":
Open Strings OFF: No open strings except the low E will be used.
Open Strings ON: The open strings will always be used when the corresponding notes (E, A, D, G, B, E) are played.
Open Chords: The open strings will be used within chords.

"Touch Bend":
Touch Bend OFF: Aftertouch to pitchbend up is off.
Touch Bend Low: Aftertouch controls a small amount of upwards bend. Simulates fingered vibrato.
Touch Bend Hi: Aftertouch controls a larger amount of upwards bend. Simulates fingered vibrato.

"Releases":
When selected releases samples will sound after notes are held for more than 1.6 seconds. This simulates noises the guitar will produce when the fingeres are taken off the strings i.e. the last note of a solo or the last chord of a part. The "RelLim" setting is the highest velocity the random velocity generator will use (lowest is set to 30).

"Slide Noise":
Slide Noise OFF: Slide noises are disabled.
Slide Noise Auto: A randomly selected slide noise will sound on note release. The 2 NoiseLim settings determine the upper and lower random limits of the noise volume (If set to the same amount the noise will be triggered at the set velocity).
Slide Noise Man: The noise samples are one octave above the guitar range and can be triggered by playing the corresponding keys.
Random Key Noise trigger and length selection:
The noises can also be played by pressing B(35) below the range. This will select one of the short noise samples. To select a long slide noise press the C(36) below the range either before releasing a note or before pressing the B(35).

"Velocity Breakpoints":
The VRSound Nylon Guitar is using script based velocity break points. The points can be manually set to your liking or use "Learn Velocity" and simply play for a few minutes.

"Learn Velocity":
When selected the script will take an average of a performance and will adjust the breakpoints accordingly. I designed this feature to help users find velocity breakpoints that are optimised to their perfomance. Once the numbers are settled after playing for a while the "Learn Velocity" can be turned off (To save the settings please save the instrument).
